Leading Scientists were warmly welcomed by local people World Leading Bioscientists were treated as nobel guests in Shengyang. Dr. Ferid Murad was honored as the Scientific Advisor of Liaoning. Governor,Mr. Xilai Bo presented the certification to Dr. Ferid Murad, and all WHTS delegation members were treated with honored guests and firework. It was a very successful forum. Several local media covered the event. Overseas Scientists enjoyed the highlight of life in Shengyang City. Several agreements were endorsed with local companies and governmental insititutions. Long term collaborations were expected to be established in this area. Leading scientists, Dr. Ferid Murad, and Dr. John Collier, Dr. Jaw-Kai Wong, and Dr. Kenneth Fong offered many good suggestions and advices on how to develop liaoning biotech industry.The forum generated great impact on local industries and decision makers.(Report Brief: June 30, 2000) |
