Warmup meeting for formation of WHTS

Meeting Chair: Dr. Xiaodan Mei, Founder of WHTS to host drug discovery symposium in 1999

During the warming up conference at the turning point of New Millennium, many active overseas scholars were gatherinig together to discuss the future trend, updated research progress in biotechnology. There are more than 20 speakers taking part in the symposium. Many young scientists were actively interacting with senior experts to discuss their future career orientations. About 10 local biotech companies sponsor the conference to present their products and technologies. Some companies also displayed the new job positions open for different levels of professionals in biotech and biomedicine field. More than 200 attendants attended at the meeting.
Several newspaper, such as World Journal,Boston News, New Continent covered the grand across cutural conference. Two delegations from Mainland China, one is from Nanjing, the other is from Beijing, participated in the conference.
